WhatsApp Contact Card feature
Good news for WhatsApp users. Meta-owned WhatsApp launched a new feature, a contact card feature for its beta users.
WABetaInfo report says that WhatsApp introduced a contact card feature on Windows beta version. This new feature enables users to share contact cards in the same chat share sheet itself.
In addition, the feature also allows recipients to add the shared contact to their address book with ease.
The feature is available only to select beta users. Users who update with WhatsApp beta version for Windows 2.2247.2.0 can get the feature.
WhatsApp has many active users in India. As per reports, it has around 450 million users in the country. One-third of them are business users.
To attract its users, the social media messaging app updates its features. It rolls out new features to retain its users.
Apart from a contact card feature, WhatsApp is also working on another feature. It is working on the track call history feature in the desktop app.
It rolled out the ability to track call history or manage call history within the desktop app. It is only available to desktop beta users. This feature enables users to access information about their calls or track their call history by opening the call card.
As the feature is available in the beta version, it may take some time to sync the call history with your mobile phone. That is the call history of the desktop may not be in sync with that of the mobile phone immediately.
Calls placed from the desktop may not be seen on the mobile phone. The company is working on the issue. It will be resolved, and the update will be released soon.
Currently, users of WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2246.4.0 can get the feature. The features will be available to all beta testers soon.
