Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to address French Parliament
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a well-known guru from India. He has been invited to speak at the French Parliament in Paris, France. He would be addressing the two Houses, the National Assembly and the Senate, separately on October 18 and 19 respectively.
Ravi Shankar helped with removing the Columbian peace deal which is failed now. The deal led that country’s president to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize this year. So, he was invited to address the French Parliament by Paul Giacobbi, president of the India-France Parliamentary group, and François Marc, president of the India-France Group of Senators.
He will be the first Indian to address both houses of the French Parliament. He will be talking about topics related to conflict resolution and inter-confessional and inter-cultural dialogue. Furthermore, Ravi Shankar would also be answering questions from French MPs after the sessions.
A keynote address on ‘Ethics for a globalized and sustainable economy‘ will be given by Sri Sri at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is the founder of the Art of Living Foundation. It was established in 1981. The Foundation helps people with issues like individual stress, societal problems, and violence.
Ravi Shankar started a Geneva-based charity in 1997. It is the International Association for Human Values. He started the NGO to help with relief work and rural development. His work in life has helped him gain many national and international awards. He received the highest awards of several countries including India, Peru, Colombia, and Paraguay. It was in this year that he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan” by the Government of India. Now his presence will be made known in France.
