WhatsApp users may mute calls from unknown callers
Meta-owned WhatsApp is going to bring another useful feature for its users. As per WABetaInfo reports, WhatsApp is working on a feature that allows its users to mute calls from unknown callers or numbers.
Users can mute calls from unknown phone numbers. However, these numbers will be shown in the call list and the notification.
Currently, the feature is available to Android beta users. This feature will be useful to users in avoiding spam calls by allowing them to silence unknown callers.
Android beta users can access the feature in settings and activate it to mute calls from unknown phone numbers.
Besides, WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature, Split View, for tablets. This feature enables users to see and use two different sections simultaneously. This feature will help users to chat in the window while opening a chat.
They need not go back to the chat list to open a different conversation, as they can see two sections side by side. They can also see the chat list even after opening a chat.
Ahead of International Women’s Day, WhatsApp says that it brought many features for a safe and secure messaging experience for its users.
Some of them are as follows: If you receive a message from an unknown number, you can block the number and report it to WhatsApp. Once you block a user, they will not be able to send messages or call you. Thus, the feature helps improve the privacy of users.
In addition, WhatsApp users can control their personal information details on the app like profile photo, online status, last seen etc. They can set who can see these details and thus keep their privacy.
WhatsApp’s two-step feature will provide extra protection to the account.
There are many features to ensure a safe messaging experience on WhatsApp. It assures users to bring more such features in the future as well.
