WhatsApp to roll out side-by-side feature
WhatsApp is set to release a new feature for Android tablet users that will allow them to multitask while messaging.
The feature, called side-by-side, is currently being tested by beta users. It is expected to roll out to more people in the coming days.
With the side-by-side view, users can switch between conversations without losing track of ongoing chats. Thus, the feature will give them more control over the WhatsApp interface on their Android tablets.
However, this feature splits the screen and can result in a smaller area for each conversation. Especially it will impact devices with smaller screens. Users can easily toggle the option to disable the side-by-side view in WhatsApp settings.
The new feature will provide a more immersive experience while chatting with friends and family on the platform. It will allow a larger interface for conversations.
In addition, WhatsApp has also announced its multi-device login feature. The feature will enable users to use the same WhatsApp account on up to four additional devices.
This update has already started rolling out globally. And everyone can expect to have access to it in the coming weeks.
With the multi-device login feature, users can link their phone as one of the additional devices. The feature will make it easier to access their chats and stay connected while on the go.
The new feature comes at a time when more people are using WhatsApp to stay in touch with their loved ones, whether for personal or business purposes.
WhatsApp’s multi-device login feature and the side-by-side view for Android tablets are aimed at providing more convenience and flexibility to its users.
These new features from WhatsApp are designed to enhance user experience and make messaging easier and more accessible.
With the continuous improvements being made on the platform, it is expected to remain a popular messaging app for years to come.
