WhatsApp to launch Camera Icon shortcut for iPhone users
WhatsApp, a meta-owned popular social media messaging app, is working to update its features. According to WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a camera shortcut for iPhone users.
The feature is under development. So it is not visible to users. The new feature or update will be rolled out by WhatsApp soon.
The camera shortcut feature will be placed in the navigation bar. It will enable users to access the camera within the application itself. Currently, WhatsApp has a separate camera tab. It will be replaced with the community tab in the future.
The camera shortcut feature on iOS appears the same as that on Android. WhatsApp will soon roll out the new feature to iPhone users.
Last week, WhatsApp released a similar feature for Android beta users who can create a community. But, the new feature, i.e. camera shortcut was not visible to all users due to a bug. It was only visible to users that had the camera tab.
Even though WhatsApp released a bug fix with the update, it did not work. Hence, WhatsApp withdrew the feature from the Android beta.
For the time being, WhatsApp wants to bring a new feature, ‘search messages by date’, for its users. It will help users search messages by date.
According to WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new feature to allow them to search messages by date.
Users will find a calendar to search for a message by date in a conversation. It will ease the search process and get all messages to date wise.
There will be no need to scroll all messages to search for a required message. Users can easily get their messages with this upcoming feature. They can either discover the new message or the messages that have been shared on a specific date with a certain contact.
