WhatsApp rolls out Message Reactions feature
Message Reactions feature with animated emojis is one of the most popular features available on Telegram and Instagram. WhatsApp users have been waiting for this feature for a long time.
Now, WhatsApp has rolled out the Message Reactions feature to beta testers. The feature will be rolled out to all users soon.
WhatsApp’s Message Reaction feature offers emojis for six reactions. These include love, like, laugh, sad, surprise and thanks. But, Telegram offers over 10 emojis, while Instagram chat has an unlimited list of emojis.
Users can find an emoji box when tapping on a message to choose an emoji so that their message will have that emoji. Android users can try the feature in the 2.22.8.3 version of WhatsApp.
In addition to that, WhatsApp rolled out some other features as well.
Multi-device feature is now available to all users. It is visible in the settings menu.
Besides, WhatsApp is planning to introduce three drawing tools to beta users on iOS. Out of them, two are new pencil tools, and one is a blur tool. Though the blur tool was already available for iOS, the new version has an updated interface of the drawing editor for the usage of these new tools. It will take some time for the availability of the feature to all users.
Furthermore, WhatsApp added a search shortcut for Android beta testers. With this feature, they can search directly from the info page of personal contacts or group chats. The feature is available to Android users in the 2.22.6.3 version.
In addition to that, WhatsApp has launched Code Verify with the help of Cloudflare to ensure the web version is secure and messages are end-to-end encrypted. In other words, to make sure the web version is as safe as the mobile version, the Code Verify feature has been launched by WhatsApp.
