Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate Rajasthan’s first Vande Bharat Express train today, i.e. April 12, 2023.

The train will run on the Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer route, making it India’s 14th Vande Bharat train.

The Vande Bharat Express will operate on the Ajmer-Delhi Cantonment route.

It will cover the distance an hour earlier than the current fastest train on the same route. The regular service of this train will begin on April 13. The train will stop at Jaipur, Alwar, and Gurgaon.

The Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer Vande Bharat Express will be the first semi-high-speed commuter train to operate over a high-rise overhead electric (OHE) area.

It will run between Ajmer and Delhi Cantt., with Prime Minister Modi officially launching the train through video conferencing today.

The train will take 5 hours and 15 minutes to travel from Delhi Cantt. to Ajmer. It will have stops in Jaipur, Alwar, and Gurgaon.

The new Vande Bharat Express will travel 60 minutes faster than the current fastest train on the same route, the Shatabdi Express.

The Northwestern Railway has not confirmed the schedule. However, the train is likely to run six times a week, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The Ajmer-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express will depart from Ajmer at 6:10 am and reach New Delhi at 12:15 pm.

At the same time, the New Delhi-Ajmer Vande Bharat Express will leave New Delhi at 6:10 pm and arrive in Ajmer at 12:15 am the following day. The train will stop at Jaipur, Alwar, and Gurugram railway stations en route.

After travelling from New Delhi to Jaipur in 4 hours and 10 minutes, the train will arrive in the city around 10:20 pm.

The launch of the Vande Bharat Express is anticipated to further boost tourism and economic growth in Rajasthan. It will provide better connectivity and faster travel options.

It will also offer an eco-friendlier mode of transportation, reducing carbon emissions and contributing to a greener future.
