Due to change in weather, some may have summer cold and cough. The main reason most of the times this happens is due to overheating of the body. Summer cold is very irritating. There are some home remedies to get rid of this cold and cough. These remedies are very simple, yet powerful. Furthermore, these keep your body cool in the summer season.

In summer, you need to drink more water to avoid dehydration. This also helps improve your body functions and eliminates toxins from your body. Thus, your immunity will be improved. Citrus fruits also help you in preventing and fighting disease causing microorganisms. Here is a list of home remedies that help you fight against summer cold.

Coconut water is the one of the best natural drinks. It has many vitamins and minerals that keeps your body cool. Drink coconut water to treat your cold. But do not consume too much. Daily one coconut or two coconuts are sufficient.

Fruits are nutritious and delicious. Consume fruits juices daily especially those made with citrus fruits to help fighting against infections. Fruit juices made of watermelons keep your body cool.


Drinking rose water regularly twice a day can help you keep your body temperature in limits. You can make rose water by crushing the petals of rose. Add one teaspoon of honey to it and drink it. Alternatively, you can add jaggery to the water.
