Home remedies for dry hands
Frequent handwashing has become new normal now. Using hand sanitizers, soaps etc. to protect from coronavirus leads to skincare issues, especially, it causes dry hands. Hence while protecting from the coronavirus, follow these home remedies to keep your hands soft.
Here are few home remedies for dry hand issue:
- Aloe vera soothes and retains moisture on your skin. It has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Apply aloe vera gel on your hands and gently rub it over the skin whenever you feel your hands are getting dry.
- Sunflower seed oil can keep your skin hydrated when you use it as a moisturizer. You can also use olive oil to keep moisture on your hands. Massage your hands using a few drops of sunflower seed oil or olive oil to keep them hydrated.
- Coconut oil moisturizes your skin and keeps it hydrated. So, massage your hands frequently with a few drops of coconut oil.
- Petroleum jelly is another effective moisturizer. It acts as a barrier on your skin to keep the natural skin oils.
- Honey is a natural moisturizing agent. It has healing properties as well. It rejuvenates your skin and keeps it soft. Massage your hands with honey. Leave it for 10 minutes and rinse it off.
- Oats mixture also helps revitalize your skin. Mix raw or cooked oats in water and keep your hands in it for some time to make them soft. Or rub the mixture of oats and olive oil on your hands.
- Lemon juice helps rejuvenate dry skin due to its potassium component. Hence, apply lemon oil on your hands.
- While washing your hands, use cold or lukewarm water to keep them hydrated and soft.
- Also, wear rubber gloves while doing household chores like dishwashing and mopping. It helps protect your hands from the harsh chemicals in the dishwasher soaps and detergents.
