State Bank of India (SBI) offers Gift card to its customers in association with VISA International. This prepaid card can be gifted to friends and family members on special days, or employees as a bonus or reward.

The card is issued in rupees. It is accepted anywhere in the country.

SBI Gift Card is available in two variants, a magnetic strip-based plastic gift card and an electronic gift form. It is available in an amount ranging from ₹500 to ₹50,000. It is a non-reloadable card.

No cash withdrawal facility is available on this card. The amount can be spent on eCommerce stores or at VISA enabled Merchant Establishments at Point of sale.

There is no daily transaction limit. The amount can be used up to the available balance in the card.  You can check the card balance at any SBI group ATM or online.

The card is valid for three years from the date of issue. The expiry date is printed on the card. However, you can apply for a refund if your card has a balance of above ₹500 after expiration.

One can also request for a personalized gift card. While the issuance fee for a personalized gift card is ₹105 plus GST, it is ₹100 plus GST for a non-personalized gift card.

The bank will charge ₹100 as an annual maintenance fee if the card balance is above ₹500. The card will be closed if the balance is less than ₹500 when it expires.

To get gift cards, the account of the customer must be KYC compliant. One can request a gift card at any SBI branches or through net banking.

A customer can request up to 10 gift cards at a time for an account. The bank will deliver the cards within 10 working days from the date of submission to the address specified in the request form.
