State Bank of India (SBI) offers a wide range of debit cards to its customers. Each card has different features and benefits.

SBI offers freedom rewards on the amount spent by different debit cards. You will get 1 point for every ₹200 spent on all cards. The bank offers bonus points as well.

Here is a list of different types of SBI debit cards:

SBI Classic Debit Card is the most common type of debit card offered to customers. It can be used to withdraw cash from ATMs of SBI and other banks. While the daily cash withdrawal limit is ₹20,000, the daily purchase limit is ₹50,000. There are no issuance charges on this card. However, ₹125 plus GST is charged per annum.


SBI Silver International Debit Card is intended to promote cashless shopping across various outlets worldwide. The daily purchase limit is ₹75,000 and the cash withdrawal limit is ₹40,000. The minimum cash withdrawal per transaction is ₹100. Internationally, $1,000 is allowed for daily withdrawal while the purchase limit is $1,500. Issuance charge is nil. But, you have to pay ₹150 plus GST per annum.

SBI Global International Debit Card has almost similar features of SBI Silver International Debit Card. However, the minimum cash withdrawal limit per day is different. The cardholders of this card have to withdraw a minimum of ₹500 per transaction. The annual maintenance charges are ₹175 plus GST.

SBI Gold International Debit Card has a daily withdrawal limit of ₹50,000. The limit for international transactions will be a maximum of foreign currency equivalent of ₹50,000. The daily purchase limit is ₹2 lakhs. While the issuance charges are ₹100 plus GST, annual maintenance charges are ₹175 plus GST. The card provides life insurance cover of up to ₹2 lakhs to the primary debit cardholder.

SBI Platinum International Debit Card has a daily withdrawal limit of ₹1 lakh. The limit for international transactions will be equivalent to ₹1 lakh of that country’s local currency. Online transaction limit is ₹2 lakhs. The issuance charges are ₹300 plus GST and annual maintenance charges are ₹250 plus GST. The card provides life insurance cover of up to ₹5 lakhs to the primary debit cardholder.
