Morari Bapu emerges as the highest donor to Ram temple
As anticipation builds for the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram at the Ayodhya Ram Temple on January 22, the nation witnesses a surge of support from people across India, contributing to the construction fund.
These include celebrities, businessmen, and many other people. According to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust treasurer, more than ₹1,100 crore has been spent on the temple’s construction.
Leading the donors is Morari Bapu, a revered spiritual leader and the narrator of Rama Katha from Gujarat.
With a profound commitment to the cause, Morari Bapu has made a substantial contribution of ₹18.6 crores towards the construction of the Ram Temple.
Morari Bapu is known for dedicating over six decades to spreading the teachings of the Ramayana. He mobilized the funds through a heartfelt appeal during an online katha in Pithoria, Gujarat, in August 2020.
The remarkable donation includes ₹11.30 crore contributed from within India, and contributions from foreign countries as well.
Among them, ₹3.21 crore is from the UK and Europe, and ₹4.10 crore is from America, Canada, and various other countries.
Morari Bapu conveyed that a prompt transfer of ₹11.3 crore occurred within 15 days of collection, directed to the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust. Subsequently, the remaining sum gathered from foreign sources has acquired the necessary clearance certificate.
This remaining amount, totalling a substantial ₹18.6 crore, is scheduled to be officially handed over to the Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Trust during Morari Bapu’s Katha in February this year.
This sequential approach underscores the transparency and meticulous handling of the donations, ensuring a smooth process for the noble cause of constructing the Ram Temple.
Morari Bapu’s unwavering dedication and substantial financial support underscore the collective effort and generosity fueling the realization of the historic Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
As the nation eagerly awaits the consecration ceremony, Morari Bapu’s contribution stands as a testament to the unity and commitment driving this monumental endeavour.
