Generous donations flow into Ayodhya's Ram temple

Since the Ram Temple’s consecration in Ayodhya on January 22, the temple trust has witnessed an overwhelming response from devotees.

In just a month, donations have surged to ₹25 crore, highlighting the deep reverence and support for this historic project.

Prakash Gupta, the office in charge of the Ram Temple Trust, shared that this impressive sum includes 10 kg of gold and 25 kg of silver, showcasing the devotees’ generosity.

However, this figure excludes online contributions directly to the trust’s bank accounts, which could potentially add a significant amount to the total donations received.

Remarkably, the temple has attracted 60 lakh visitors since the ceremony, a testament to its spiritual magnetism and the devotion of the faithful. Gupta anticipates even more visitors as the Ram Navami celebrations approach, suggesting a continuous stream of support and reverence for the temple.

To accommodate the influx of donations, the trust has operationalized a dozen computerized counters for issuing receipts.

Moreover, plans are underway to construct a specialized counting room within the temple premises to manage and account for the donations more efficiently.

This move signifies the trust’s commitment to transparency and proper handling of the contributions.

In a noteworthy partnership, the trust has engaged the Indian Government Mint for the valuation and upkeep of the gold and silver offerings, ensuring the treasures are well-preserved.

Additionally, an MoU with the State Bank of India guarantees the secure handling of all donations made via cheques, drafts, and cash.

Trustee Anil Mishra emphasized this collaboration, underscoring the bank’s full responsibility in safeguarding the temple’s financial contributions.

This influx of donations and the trust’s structured response underscore the community’s commitment to the Ram Temple.

As devotees continue to offer their support, the temple stands as a beacon of faith, unity, and cultural heritage, drawing people from all walks of life to Ayodhya.
