Wagr – GPS tracker for dogs
It is difficult for pet owners to locate or track them if they are lost. To save them from this problem, Wagr came into the field.
Wagr is the first tracker for dogs in the country. It was founded by Advaith Mohan, Siddharth Darbha and Ajith Kochery.
Wagr is a Bengaluru based startup. When Advaith Mohan wanted to adopt Jambi, a street dog, he found it difficult to take care of the pet with his full-time job.
He discussed this with his two friends and all of them came up with a solution, Wagr. It comes with a pre-installed SIM Card powered by Vodafone and Idea.
Wagr is a GPS fitness tracker for dogs. It is attached to its collar. This wearable device is connected to an app.
Users need to download the app and create the profile of their dog. They can also set safe zones like home or park for their dog so that they will be alerted if their dog leaves the safe zones.
One can also track the activities of his/her dog. The tracker is waterproof. The battery lasts for up to 4 days based on the usage.
Certain activities like Track Mode, Walk Tracking etc. consume the battery more. Users can set up Wi-Fi on the tracker to reduce the usage of the battery.
If the battery does not have enough charge, then the app will alert you to recharge it.
The company assures the tracker is safe to use and can fit on even small dogs and puppies.
The Wagr tracker costs ₹6,999. However, you need to pay an additional ₹99 for the SIM card that powers the tracker.
You can also choose other subscription models like quarterly, half-yearly or annually. The first six months of subscription are free for users.
