All food services generally offer a wide range of selection for customers to make a selection. This is a great strategy to attract more customers. However, a new startup called Dazo offers very few dishes.

While this might seem like an unlikely strategy, Dazo swears by it. It works with only few partners and each of them makes just two dishes. Users can find them on the platform of the service for lunch, afternoon snacks, and dinner.

Dazo’s founders said that the purpose of this strategy is to let hungry customers easily figure out what to order. This strategy allows them to offer quality food and deliver them very fast. When people are hungry they would rather get their food as quickly as possible. However, if there are too many items of the menu, they would end up getting confused about what to order to satisfy their hunger fast. This is where Dazo has the edge. Using the service, users can get satisfying meals as fast as possible without having to go through a long selection phase.

Dazo was founded in October 2014. Its founders are Shashaank Shekhar Singhal and Monica Rastogi. They got the idea to start the service when they saw how irksome it is for many office workers to order food.

Most office workers in Mumbai rely on dabbawalas. They deliver home-cooked meals directly to businesses. They are quite efficient and are used by many giant companies too.

However, in Bengaluru such a service isn’t available. People depend on ordering from restaurants which gets monotonous quick. Even though there are services like FoodPanda, Dazo offers a unique service to help office workers. Dazo does not try to get as many partners as possible like other services. It has partnership with about twenty restaurants and each of them offer a different cuisine. It also uses food analytics to improve food quality.
