WhatsApp’s Reactions from Media Viewer and many more
WhatsApp is continuously evolving, and recent reports reveal that the platform is developing several features aimed at enhancing user interactions.
According to insights from WABetaInfo, these updates include options for reacting to media, hiding specific chats, managing storage, and imposing account restrictions.
Firstly, the ‘reactions from media viewer’ feature is set to streamline how users interact with media content.
This new tool allows users to react directly from the media viewing screen, without the need to return to the main chat window.
Currently, this feature is in the beta testing phase and available to a select group of users.
Moreover, WhatsApp is also working on ‘hidden community group chats.’ This feature provides users the ability to mark community group chats as hidden with just a tap on a dedicated icon next to the group name.
Still under development, this option aims to offer users more privacy and control over their group interactions.
Another significant update involves managing chat storage. The ‘manage chat storage filters’ feature will help users organize their chats better by filtering them in the storage management section.
This functionality is designed to simplify how users manage data and storage on their devices.
Like the reactions feature, it is currently available to some beta testers and is expected to roll out broadly in the near future.
Lastly, WhatsApp plans to introduce ‘account restrictions’ to enforce platform rules more effectively. This feature will temporarily prevent users from starting new chats as a penalty for certain violations.
Details about the specific violations and the duration of restrictions are yet to be fully outlined, but the feature is under development and will be included in a forthcoming app update.
These planned features underscore WhatsApp’s commitment to enhancing user satisfaction and security.
By integrating these tools, WhatsApp aims to improve the overall chat experience. Besides, it also ensures greater compliance with community standards.
Users can look forward to a more streamlined and secure messaging environment as these features become widely available.
