How to force stop messages on WhatsApp
WhatsApp is one of the most useful applications as one can communicate with others easily. One needs Wi-Fi data or mobile data to use it.
If you are traveling and you don’t have enough mobile data, then it will be a problem to use WhatsApp.
You will receive messages on WhatsApp if you turn on mobile data. You will continue to receive messages. You will not be able to stop them even if you close the application.
Unless you turn off your mobile data, you will be able to receive messages and notifications.
If you open WhatsApp, you cannot hide it as you will be visible to all your contacts.
So, if you want to stop receiving messages for a while, you can do it in the following way:
Select the App info icon by pressing the WhatsApp application for a while. In other words, you have to long-press the application to see the App info icon.
You can see the Force Stop option on the top. Tap on it and close WhatsApp. This force stop option helps stop receiving messages even though WhatsApp is running in the background.
In this way, you can save your mobile data when you are traveling or if the data is running out.
If anyone sends you a message on WhatsApp, they can see only one tick which indicates that the message is not delivered.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature to view status updates within chats. With this update, users can view the status updates within their chat list.
However, it is not visible within the chat list if status updates are muted from the status tab. This feature is available only to a few beta users at present. Both Android and iOS beta testers can get this feature. Later, it will be rolled out to all users.
