Get Aadhaar PVC card for ₹50
Aadhaar card, the 12-digit unique identification number serves many purposes. However, due to its size, it cannot be easily carried. It does not fit in a wallet like a debit or credit card. Hence, many users are taking the colour Xerox of Aadhaar card on plastic paper and laminate it to avoid damage and tear and to carry easily.
In this context, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) recently launched a new provision. Under this, Aadhaar card users can get PVC or polyvinyl chloride-based identity card.
The PVC Aadhaar card comes in a handy size similar to that of an ATM card to fit in pockets or wallets.
Users can obtain their PVC card by just paying ₹50. It includes all taxes and delivery fees. The card can be delivered to the specified address by speed post within five working days excluding the date of request.
In the initial days of enrolment for Aadhaar, several users did not provide their mobile phone number due to non-availability or lack of awareness.
Since the mobile number is mandatory for receiving OTP, many users cannot avail instant privileges or change/update their details online.
To get PVC Aadhaar card also, OTP is mandatory. However, non-registered mobile users can also avail this feature by entering an alternate mobile number now and get a new card. The entire family can get Aadhaar PVC cards with a single mobile number.
If you want to get your Aadhaar PVC card, go to https://residentpvc.uidai.gov.in/order-pvcreprint. Enter your Aadhaar card number. Non- registered mobile number users can click on ‘my mobile number is not registered’. Enter One Time Password (OTP). Registered mobile users can preview their details before proceeding to the payment option. However, non-registered mobile users cannot have the preview option. Pay ₹50 to confirm your order. You will receive your PVC card.
