WiFi garbage can
Have you heard of getting free WiFi just by throwing trash in a bin? As fantastical as it sounds, it is now a reality. A duo from Mumbai has come up with an invention called ‘WiFi trash bin’ to keep their surroundings clean.
The WiFi trash bin is made to encourage people to throw their trash in the bins rather than recklessly litter. It was made by the duo Raj Desai and Pratik Agarwal. Their idea behind the bin is to offer encouragement to people for keeping their environment clean.
Whenever someone throws trash in the bin, an access code will be displayed on the LED display in front of the bin. This access code can be used to connect to the WiFi network of the dustbin. The WiFi trash bin has a built in router as part of its design.
The bin was under the organization of Raj and Pratik ThinkScream. They aim to provide new age technology solutions to general problems. They started by setting up WiFi networks at places like multiplexes, retail shops, music festivals etc. These WiFi networks in multiplexes can be used by people to order food without having to leave their seat in the movie and without needing any special app.
