Reusable Diapers
When a woman enters motherhood for the first time, most of the times, baby care seems like a nightmare. Using the right baby products can take a while to get used to.
One of the most common scares that mothers face is diaper rashes. Diaper rashes are what motivated Pallavi Utagi to come up with a unique new diaper design.
Pallavi is the founder of Superbottoms, a brand of economical and eco-friendly cloth Reusable diapers. She says that she also used to purchase disposable diapers for her son which resulted in rashes.
Pallavi’s husband also told her more about the environmental hazards of using disposable diapers.
They looked for international cloth diaper brands as alternative. She found that these were much healthier and economical because they lasted longer. They were also eco-friendly.
However, Pallavi wanted to encourage their usage. Hence she decided to start her own brand.
She already had experience with an MBA and worked in the pharmaceutical industry. Pallavi came up with the idea of creating her own label for cloth diapers.
Superbottoms was hence started. They are made to eco-friendly and come in colorful designs to last a long time.
Where typical diapers are coated with plastic and many other harmful chemicals, these are made of layers of fabric coated with a dry-feel protective soaker.
These soakers are also made from microfibers and bamboo and hemp. The whole thing has a soft outer layer which keeps the inner parts waterproof but comfortable.
The diapers come in colorful patterns to make them seem like an item of clothing.
Superbottoms also has a team dedicated to spreading awareness regarding these diapers which are reusable.
Many people were unsure of trying new diapers for their children. But slowly, Superbottoms has made a mark.
Just with social media and word of mouth, it gained a lot of publicity.
