Electric rickshaws saving the Taj | Fusion - WeRIndia

Have you heard of these amazing rickshaws which are eco-friendly as they do not require any fuel? Furthermore, they do not make any noise! They are the new electric rickshaws. These electric rickshaws are new part of the auto rickshaw culture which is an integral part of India. They bought a little bit of hope in the battle against pollution in India.

The design of these rickshaws is very basic. They are tiny and tidy. They do not cause any pollution at all which is a much needed feature in a city like Delhi which received a long list of ‘most polluted’ titles. The encouragement to these rickshaws from the government is coming in baby steps. These were taken off the streets due to a Delhi. However, you can find them as you travel to Agra.

Each of these rickshaws cost around Rs.1.5 lakh which is approximately the same as the regular rickshaws. However, what makes them sensible is that there is absolutely no air pollution or noise pollution. They do not even require much of maintenance. Another benefit is that they can seat more passengers. Hopefully these rickshaws can find its way to other cities as India desperately needs a way to cut down pollution.
