Wedding Card or Voter ID card?
People have been seeking a variety of ways these days to attract the attention of others.
In the wake of Karnataka Assembly elections, this couple tried a novel way to catch the attention of others.
They invited guests to their wedding by sending a wedding invitation card which looked like a voter ID card.
Everyone that received the card was surprised at first and then appreciated their card later.
Siddappa Doddachikkannanavar is an employee of Indian Railways. He is an activist as well. He is going to get marry Jyothi, a BCom graduate on April 27.
In this regard, they had this idea. They printed their wedding invitation card like a voter ID card and send them to all their friends and relatives. A total of 1,200 cards were printed.
The wedding card has the national emblem and also says ‘SJMRG27042018’.
Not just that, their card conveys the message of importance of voting and blood donation.
All the wedding details are printed on the second page.
The couple also gave the invitation to Haveri Deputy Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police.
Before printing their invitation card like a voter ID card, the couple took the permission of district collector.
The couple also has been working to promote Kannada language in Goa.
Siddappa is the state president of Kannada. He visits Kannada schools and distributes Kannada books.
He also enjoys writing limericks. Furthermore, he wants to do something differently to promote Kannada for his wedding.
And thus, this couple are getting applauses for their wedding invitation card.
The Karnataka elections will be held on May 12 and counting will be done on May 15. The last date to file nominations is April 23 and the last date to withdraw nominations is April 27.
