Yoga day to receive coverage like Republic day | Fusion - WeRIndia

National public broadcaster has made Republic day equivalent plans for the coverage of International Yoga Day which is to be held at Rajpath.

Doordarshan would be deploying over twenty hi-definition cameras for the coverage of the event on June 21, declared as International Yoga Day by the UN, sources stated.

While 2 cameras are going to be positioned atop India gate, there’ll be alternative cameras on jibs and another one on a several feet high hydraulic crane to provide a bird’s eye view of the complete Rajpath from India Gate to Vijay Chowk.

It is expected that a record breaking number of individuals would participate in conjointly performing yogic asanas at the event. Around eighteen cameras will be covering the main stage in order to guarantee a well-rounded coverage of the performances. It was further added that the aim was to possess a Republic Day-like coverage.

Several outdoor Broadcast vans for live coverage will also be placed into service. Sources say latest technology is going to be used to make sure that the coverage is of international standards.

A special team comprising engineers, cinemtographers, scenic and property consultants are going to be on duty for the live telecast of the event.

Most of those crew members have expertise within the outdoor production of mega events like

Independence Day, Republic Day, Commonwealth Games etc., sources added.
