As the nation gears up to celebrate the 73rd Republic Day on January 26, the iconic Republic Day Parade in Delhi is a not-to-be-missed spectacle, marking the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950.

The parade, commencing at 10:00 am from Vijay Chowk, will traverse a five-kilometre route, culminating at the National Stadium.

For those eager to witness the grandeur live, tickets are available both online and offline.

Online bookings can be made by visiting the Ministry of Defence’s official web portal.

A simple process involves creating an account, choosing the desired event, providing personal details, and completing the online payment.

Offline tickets can be acquired at authorised outlets, IDTC Travel Counters, Government of India Tourist Offices, and DTDC Counters.

Indian nationals have the option of getting reserved tickets for ₹500, and unreserved seats for ₹20.

However, it’s crucial to note that the ticket booking window opens on January 10 and closes on January 25.

With a limited number of tickets available daily, prompt booking is advised.

Those opting for offline ticketing can buy their tickets at authorized outlets and other designated centres.

Departmental sales counters will operate daily from 10 am to 5:30 pm, while the Parliament House Reception Office will sell tickets from 11 am to 4 pm.

It’s important to be mindful of the closed days. Government of India Tourist Offices remain closed on Sundays while the Parliament House Reception Office remains closed on weekends and holidays.

For those who prefer the comfort of home, the Republic Day Parade will be streamed live on the Doordarshan Official YouTube Channel and the Press Bureau of India Website.

Additionally, Doordarshan will broadcast the parade live on television.

As India comes together to celebrate its vibrant culture and history, securing a seat at the Republic Day Parade promises a memorable experience.

Whether witnessing the spectacle in person or from the comfort of home, the nation’s pride and heritage take centre stage on this auspicious day.
