Mega event to be held on International Yoga Day
As International Yoga Day is approaching on June 21, Indian government is planning to promote various activities on that day.
It is reported that at least 100 parks throughout the country are dedicated to the yoga practitioners.
The event will be hosted by Lucknow at Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan this year and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the event.
This is the third International Yoga Day, hence PM in Mann Ki Bath on Sunday urged people to post the pictures of three generations, grandparents, parents and children that are performing yoga together on Narendra Modi App or MyGov website.
It is anticipated that around 150 countries will participate in the mega event on the International Yoga Day and Indian Missions in those counties will coordinate the events.
It is also said that Yoga day will be observed at some of the important places like the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Central Park in New York, and Trafalgar Square in London etc.
In the last two years, more than 190 countries actively participated in yoga day celebrations that are conducted in various locations throughout the world.
Along with the Prime Minister, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and senior ministers will participate in the International Yoga Day celebrations.
Many yoga gurus along with approximately 51,000 people are likely to take part in the event in Lucknow this year.
Various events are planned to be held in various cities across the country. The nation’s capital Delhi will host seven chief events in different locations in the city. These event will be jointly conducted by DDA, NDMC and Yoga organisations.
Not just in India, International Yoga Day will be observed across the globe in various nations and various cities. Some of them are: London, Paris, New York.
The AYUSH ministry has appealed to people to take a pledge to make yoga a vital part of their daily life.
