Full Vaccinated Indians can now travel to Switzerland

Ever since the pandemic started, many Indians who loved to travel had to put their plans on hold. After the vaccines were released, there seemed to be a ray of hope.

Now that hope has been realized. Indian citizens who got fully vaccinated are now allowed to visit the beautiful country of Switzerland.

The government’s Federal Council of Public Health stated that people from countries with a variant of concern like India can enter Switzerland if they have been vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19. There will be no need to provide a negative test.

Of course, this rule does not apply to people from a country with a variant of the virus of concern. They are only allowed if it is sure that their vaccine offers good protection.

People who did not get the or have not recovered from COVID-19 must show a negative PCR test or rapid antigen test. They must also enter quarantine on entry.

As such, Indian travellers do not have to quarantine if they are fully vaccinated. Switzerland won’t ask for a negative RT-PCR test report; however, the airline you travel in may require it.

The Switzerland government stated that COVID certificates would be allowed as supporting documents in international travel.

A COVID certificate is a certificate that allows people to carry on with certain activities. It is proof that the individual is protected against the virus.

When it comes to international travel, alternative supporting documents can also be possible. Furthermore, children can also be given a COVID certificate of testing or recovery. People can also opt to store all these certificates in a single app.
