Herbal products are good for your skin. As they are made without any chemicals, many people are switching to them. Herbal bath powder is one of them.

Many soaps available in the market have chemical ingredients like parabens. Though they are used as preservatives, they can trigger irritation and skin allergies. Besides, usage of these products may affect your skin adversely in the long run.

Hence make a herbal bath powder which has many health benefits. Here is the procedure:

Mix 50 grams of green gram flour and 50 grams of wild turmeric powder. Add 25-30 grams of sandalwood powder to it. Add 10 grams of rose petal powder to this mixture for fragrance. If you want, you can add 50 grams of orange peel powder, which is available on the market. Or make it in your home. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and store the powder in a dry container.

To use the powder, make a paste with water or rosewater and massage it on your skin. Then rinse with water. Alternatively, you can use raw milk or rice water to make a paste. Use this bath powder regularly.

The herbal bath powder has the following benefits:

  • It keeps your skin clean and healthy.
  • It makes your skin glow.
  • It works like an exfoliant.
  • It helps maintain the pH balance of your skin.
  • It rejuvenates the skin and nourishes it.

You can also add 25 grams of neem powder to this bath powder to prevent skin infections. Some other ingredients can be added to it to get numerous benefits.

If you add the powder of Ashoka tree flowers to the herbal bath powder, it helps treat several skin conditions like eczema, itching, dry skin etc. If you add Avaram senna flower powder to the bath powder, it can treat pimples and acne. It also helps prevent blemishes and blackspots.

However, the herbal bath powder does not produce lather as soaps give. So, bathing with this powder gives a different experience.

Besides, compared to soaps, which can be used easily, using a bath powder is somewhat difficult as you have to make a paste to use. But, they have more benefits than their disadvantages. So, they are worth trying.
