Cool summer drinks
As summer starts, the heat is rising. The chances of getting heat strokes is also rising. During such times, it is important to keep your body hydrated and cool.
For such purposes, there are a few healthy drinks that you can consume to say safe.
Under no circumstance you must drink aerated drinks during the heat phases. They cause further dehydration which ruins your body and increases chance of heat stroke.
Drink the following beverages whenever you got to keep cool.
Coconut Water
Coconut water is the best summer drink. Whenever you see a coconut stall, try to have one. It is rich in nutrients. You can also eat the coconut stuffing inside.
Butter Milk
Buttermilk is great at preventing dehydration. You can also easily make this using yogurt and water. Mix spices like pepper, ginger, jeera and salt to make it delicious.
Lime Water
Lime water is another quick drink to fight dehydration. It is easy to make and is also rich in vitamin C. It prevents diseases of the season as well. Just simply add lemon juice in a glass of water and sugar or salt depending on your preference.
Watermelon Juice
Watermelons are made for summer heat. The juice of these fruits are great at fighting dehydration. You can also simply eat the fruits to feel cool. When you have to work in the sun, eat a watermelon prior. It is also a very low calorie drink.
Lassi
Lassi is like buttermilk, but tastier. It is sweet and has fruity goodness. There are many variations of it you can try. You can make a different version every day to not get bored.
Aam Panna
Mangoes are the blessing of summer. They almost make the heat of the summer worth it. Aam Panna is a delicious drink made with raw mangoes. It prevents dehydration and heat stroke. It is also a good drink for relaxing.
