To reduce physical contact, many people prefer online methods like Google Pay, Paytm etc. Google Pay is widely used now. But do you know that Google Pay can be used to book and pay for your LPG cylinder?

Here is a step by step procedure to book and pay for your LPG cylinder:

  • To initiate the procedure, download the updated version of Google Pay. Link your bank account to the UPI payment facility.
  • Open Google Pay and tap on “+ New Payment” that is visible on the bottom end of the screen.
  • Then choose Bill payments option under People & bills. You will find a list of categories of services. If you scroll down the app, you will find “LPG cylinder booking.” Tap on it and select your LPG cylinder supplier.
  • If you are doing it for the first time on Google Pay, then you will have to add your LPG customer ID and your registered mobile number. If you forget your LPG ID, you can find it on the website: http://mylpg.in/.
  • You can check the registered name there. Also, check your LPG customer ID and registered mobile number and verify the details.
  • Tap on “Link Account” to add your LPG gas account to Google Pay. Adding your LPG account is a one-time step and only new users will have to add it.
  • You need not repeat this procedure every time you book your cylinder. After completing the linking process, book your cylinder. Make sure it is booked properly.
  • Sometimes, it may take 2-3 days from the distributor’s side. So, it is advised to book in advance.
  • You can view your bill status on the next page. Tap on the “Pay Bill” option to pay for your booked LPG cylinder. Check the bill details before initiating the payment.
  • Click Proceed to pay to make your payment. Enter your Google Pay PIN. Contact your LPG cylinder supplier if you face any issues with the booking to get a refund for your payment.
