International Photography Contest - Fusion - WeRIndia

Good news for photographers! Kerala tourism announced the ‘International Photography Contest’ on Kerala. It is a unique photography contest where photographers from all over the globe can participate and win prizes.

The contest was started on September 24, 2015. It is open till December 31, 2015. The photography contest is being conducted by Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala.

Kerala is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India and more than one crore people visit this place each year. This photography contest is conducted for photography lovers who are passionate about beautiful sceneries of Kerala.

The participants who want to share their photography on Kerala should submit it on the website. These will be rated by the visitors of the website later. There is no entry fee to participate in this contest. Anyone can participate in this contest. But the photographs should depict Kerala positively and promote Kerala tourism.

Each participant can submit up to three photos. They can only be submitted via Kerala tourism website. Registration is necessary to login and get the password to submit photos. The minimum image size should be 1000 pixels and the maximum is 3000 pixels in both height and width. Only Jpeg files are allowed and the file size should not exceed 4MB and 72dpi resolution.

The photos that are going to be submitted in this contest should be taken from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2015. Kerala tourism will select the final winners and its decision is final in this. It will have all rights to use the photos submitted for this contest. Yet, the photographers of the non-winning entries can have the copyrights of their photographs.

There are four category prizes. The first prize is Rs.5 lakh, the second prize is Rs.3 lakh and the third prize is Rs.2 lakh. In addition to that, there are five consolation prizes of Rs.1 lakh each. All prizes are cash prizes. The prizes will be divided and distributed to winners in all categories if the Judging Committee chooses more than one winning entry.
