At just 11 years old, Harshil Kiran from Guntur city is making waves in the field of wildlife photography, captivating the hearts of many with his exceptional talent.

Inspired by his father, a seasoned wildlife photographer, Harshil has quickly ascended to national recognition, his lens revealing the untold stories of nature.

Harshil’s passion for photography began at the age of nine, during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Accompanying his father on expeditions to places like Nallamala Forest and Sunkesula Dam, he developed a keen eye for the natural world.


His remarkable photographs of pelican birds at the Uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary catapulted him to fame. It showcased his ability to think creatively and connect deeply with his subjects.

So far, Harshil has documented over 200 species of birds and wild animals, his portfolio reflecting a maturity and skill beyond his years.

His efforts have not gone unnoticed; he has earned a gold medal from the Photographic Society of America and the title of ‘Rising Star in Photography’ from Pentagram in Kolkata.

Moreover, Harshil’s dedication to wildlife extends beyond photography. He aspires to travel across India to capture rare birds and animals and is passionate about using his exhibitions to educate others on the importance of conservation.

His recent exhibition at the Palnadu district Collectorate on World Photography Day was not just a display of his work but a statement of his commitment to wildlife preservation.

District Collector Siva Sankar Lotheti, who felicitated him at the event, praised Harshil’s efforts to bring attention to environmental issues through his art.

As Harshil plans more exhibitions at educational institutions, he continues to inspire a new generation to appreciate and protect our natural heritage.
