Toddler genius: Two-year-old sets record for exceptional memory | Fusion - WeRIndia

At just two years old, Desu Vedesh from Sattenapalli, Guntur, is proving that brilliance knows no age.

This extraordinary toddler has made his way into the India Book of Records with his incredible memory.

He distinguished himself by identifying over 100 various animals, fruits, human organs, and freedom fighters in a mere 19 minutes.

His father, Avinash, shares that while most toddlers are learning nursery rhymes, Vedesh stands apart by recognizing a wide array of images ranging from animals and marine life to historical figures.

This exceptional skill set was first noticed by his mother, Vyshnavi, who observed his unique ability to identify different animals accurately.

Vedesh’s talent shone brightly one evening while watching National Geographic, where he quickly identified various fish species and animals, sometimes just by their sounds.

His capability to recall names of diverse categories on multiple occasions is nothing short of remarkable.

To document this extraordinary talent, Vedesh’s parents recorded a video of him identifying flashcards of 20 animals, 20 fruits, body parts, good habits, 27 freedom fighters, 30 household items, and the English alphabet, and performing 25 actions, all within record time.

This video was then submitted to the India Book of Records (IBR), and after a few months, Vedesh’s achievement was officially recognized.

For his outstanding memory and quick identification skills, Vedesh was awarded a certificate and a medal.

Besides, he also received a metal pen, an IBR badge, and an identity card.  He also earned the title of IBR Achiever at the tender age of two years and two months.

Avinash expresses immense pride in his son’s accomplishments, emphasizing the belief that every child holds unique talents that deserve to be nurtured.

Vedesh’s story is not just a testament to his remarkable memory but also to the potential inherent in every child, waiting to be discovered and celebrated.
