Tips for self-motivation, When You Feel Like Doing nothing
Honestly evaluate whether you need a break. This is the first thing that we usually do what we find that we don’t want to get to a specific action.
The fact is that oftentimes we will have been working very hard and the lethargy we are feeling is really our body and emotions telling us that we simply need a break.
This is where it takes real intellectual honesty because sometimes we do need a break.
We can often discover why we’re in a slump. Even better, there are ways to get out of the slump and get motivated again.
Have you ever felt the demands of obligations you “have to” do? Or maybe you feel more like you “need to” or “must” do things.
What if you told yourself that you “want to” do something, or if it is more reasonable that you “choose to.”
How would this change the way you feel about things? The emotional impact between “I want to” and “I have to” is monumental.
These will help you to focus on whatever goal you might have and motivate yourself to get up and do what you should do.
Below are few tips for self motivation to overcome from these situations:
Find Out What Motivates You
Everyone is motivated by different things. Some people are motivated by money, others are incentive’s by glory, while others are motivated by a sense of achievement.
It’s important that you uncover what really motivates you. For example, you might assume that only motivates you, but perhaps it’s what money represents that motivates you – such as security and confidence.
Once you know what motivates you, you can then use this to your advantage.
Reward yourself
One way that we can motivate our self to do something when we don’t feel like doing it, is to tell yourself that if you get through the work that you need to, you will give yourself a little reward.
Got something to do that you’re not looking forward to?
Adding a reward at the end of the task is a fab motivator that works a treat.
Remind yourself & Focus
Ask yourself, what do you want to gain from all this? Why do you want to be motivated? Focus on your goal.
Make your schedule and plan flexible and keep focus on your goal. You can change your schedule, plan but not your goal.
Make things more simple. Just do what is in front of you. If you feel like you have too much to do, just do the one things at a time.
Let go of what you’re not working on and stay focused on the task at hand. Well are you ready to get committed, have fun, and start taking decisive action?Don’t over-think it.
Simply commit to doing something today that you have been putting off because you didn’t feel like it. You will feel better because of it.
Be responsible
Be responsible for the outcomes, not your parents, friends or any other but you are responsible for the outcomes.
Bad things, failure and negativity happens to all of us, but the way we respond to it is OUR choice.
If we are not making effort to achieve something than we are responsible for the failure. Reaching your goals needs dedication, passion and hard work.
Take care of your self
Don’t skip meals and do eat healthy. When you’re tired, it is hard to find the motivation to do anything.
The best way to give yourself more energy and perk yourself up is to improve your diet. Take plenty of sleep.
If you feel tired or sick you cannot focus on work properly.
Stop worrying about things being done perfectly, this will make you lose focus on your main goal.
Always stay ambitious and be surrounded by ambitious people.
