Many people are helping other people in one way or other in these tough times. Not just the rich, even the middle class and below middle-class people are joining their hands to help feed the people in need.

These Anganwadi workers show a good example by distributing food to the tribal people to make sure that they do not die of starving.

It is difficult for many daily wagers and people who live in remote areas to get access to their daily bread during the lockdown.

Hence, some Anganwadi workers in Narayanpur district, Chhattisgarh are distributing dry ration and ready-to-eat meals to tribal people living in remote areas.

These tribal people do not have permanent homes to reside. Furthermore, they live in Maoist-hit districts.

In this context, the Anganwadi workers decided to help the tribal people by distributing essential ration and other groceries.

For this, the Anganwadi workers have to reach the extreme and Maoist-hit regions. As tribal families live in remote areas, it is difficult to locate them.

Many tribal families go deep into the forest to collect the Minor Forest Produce (MFP) as the season is continuing.

The Muria tribe is one of the tribes that leave their homes early in the morning to collect MFPs from the forest. So, it becomes difficult for workers to locate them.

Some people in the markets give information and the whereabouts of the tribal people to these workers to locate them.

But, the Anganwadi workers have travelled all through this to distribute essential commodities to tribal people. They walked several miles to locate the tribal families.

In addition to the distribution of food to the tribal people, these Anganwadi workers teach the tribal people about various precautionary measures to protect themselves against COVID-19.

The District magistrate of Narayanpur appreciated the selfless services of the workers.
