Wondering what’s with the 28? The number is related to a very interesting life. When many people try to find stability and routine in life, Jubanashwa Mishra took an unplanned journey to 28 states in India while doing arbitrary and odd jobs every week.

The jobs he did include photographer, a market researcher, a hotel manager, a tattoo artist, a farm worker, a river rafting guide, a film executive, a boathouse driver, a tea factory worker, a waste warrior, and much more. He went to a new job and new state every week while having no idea where he would be next week.

Jubanashwa Mishra hails originally from Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He covered all the 28 states of India with the determination of not doing a dull regular job after completing his engineering.

He says he got the idea when he heard of someone who did 52 jobs in 52 weeks throughout the year. The concept was originally done by Canadian Sean Aiken who called it the one week one job concept. Mishra made a strong decision and decided to finish it. He did not even tell his parents about his adventure who found out about it through a local news article. His family who was confused at first finally accepted his idea.
