CURRYiT: Reinventing Indian cooking with ready-to-cook curry bases

In a world where convenience is king, CURRYiT has carved a niche by offering ready-to-cook Indian curry bases that bring both tradition and ease to everyday cooking.

Founded in 2020 by IIM Udaipur alumni Richa Sharma and Nischal Kandula, the brand was born from a simple observation: people want to cook Indian food at home, but lack time for preparation.

The duo interviewed over 300 people across age groups and locations, identifying a common need: easy, authentic cooking without the prep.

CURRYiT offers 17 SKUs, including 10 regional curry bases like Butter Masala, Chettinad Chicken, and Rajma Masala.

It also has daily-use pastes such as ginger, garlic, and ginger-garlic mix, priced at ₹99 for 10 servings.

Its Hyderabadi Biryani paste and other curry pastes are priced at ₹151 and serve three.

Additionally, the brand sells preservative-free soups (₹229 per combo pack), made with 95% real vegetables.

The products are FDA-approved, HACCP-certified, ISO-certified, and free from preservatives.

To ensure shelf life of 12 months without refrigeration, CURRYiT uses autoclave technology, which sterilises food using high-pressure steam. Its six-layer vacuum-sealed packaging further ensures safety and freshness.

CURRYiT is present on quick commerce platforms like BlinkIt, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart, which account for 70% of its sales.

It also sells through Amazon, its own website, and 20 offline stores, including Nature’s Basket and Le Marche.

In FY24, CURRYiT clocked ₹1.15 crore in revenue, growing to ₹5.8 crore in FY25. Backed by a ₹4.5 crore seed round led by RK Family Trust and others, it aims to hit ₹20 crore in FY26.

Plans include launching new categories, expanding distribution, and automating production to scale further.

CURRYiT also has its eyes on global markets like the US, UK, Canada, Singapore, and the Middle East by 2026, after a positive response to a test launch on Amazon US.

By combining traditional recipes, clean ingredients, and modern food tech, CURRYiT is simplifying Indian cooking, one curry base at a time.
