WhatsApp down due to server problems
Due to some server issues, the social media platform WhatsApp is not working properly in some areas across the globe. Several users reported their messages are not going through properly.
Most people could not even download media in their WhatsApp messages. The problem is not just with WhatsApp, but with Facebook and Instagram as well.
It seems that Facebook servers are facing problems. That’s why all the three services that run on these servers are down.
However, Facebook or WhatsApp have not confirmed about these glitches in their services officially. But, users are complaining about the problems they are facing with these services.
Mainly the problems persist in South America and Europe.
Though the problematic areas from the outage Map on the Down Detector look like India, as of now, there are not many issues with WhatsApp services.
The Down Detector also reveals the problem with Facebook Messenger.
Primarily, the WhatsApp problems are related to media messages including images and audio files which are not coming properly through the servers as users are unable to download them in their mobile phones.
The users suffering due to Facebook servers is not for the first time. Earlier in the month of March, the servers suffered downtime which troubled users for hours.
Interestingly, at that time, not many users in India faced the issues. Very few issues were reported by Indian users.
This may be due to the occurrence of outage in the early morning hours when most Indian users were sleeping.
At that time, Facebook said the problem was due to the change of server configuration. This caused trouble to many users in accessing maps and services.
It assured the recovery of systems and the solution of the issues.
