Putramrajuvari Kandriga to be a Role Model Village
The Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was warmly welcomed to the tiny village of Puttamraj Kandrika on Sunday. Sachin Tendulkar has adapted this village under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. The arrival of Tendulkar has made the whole village cheer up. The village was decorated with banners and hoards to welcome the cricketer. Several people from neighbouring villages and districts have visited Puttamrajuvari Kandrika to catch a glimpse of Tendulkar. Many people jostled each other to take photos with the legendary cricketer.
Sachin Tendulkar has spent time there and interacted with the villagers about the importance of villages and the features they are lacking. He talked about the importance of proper roads, sanitation facilities, and also about the power supply scenario in the village. He stated that the village would be turned into a model village after getting them the basic necessities.
Tendulkar has laid the foundation for the construction of Rs. 2.79 crore worth of developmental works. This is the first phase which includes a community centre, Anganwadi school with kitchen, toilets, waiting halls, a playground etc. The cricketer will soon see the oath of the villagers to get rid of tobacco and alcohol. He will also play a friendly cricket match with the children of the village.
