Then, the Bollywood remained in silence. But, now #MeToo is becoming popular in India starting with the allegations of Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta against veteran Indian actor Nana Patekar claiming that he misbehaved with her on a film set in 2008.
With this, #MeToo movement exploded in India and several famous personalities and powerful men are now accused of their predatory behavior towards women.
After that, several celebrities came forward to share their bad experiences under the #MeToo movement. Kangana Ranaut, Chinmayi Sripada, Flora Saini, Amyra Dastur, Vinita Nanda, Jwala Gutta etc. are some of them who raised their voices against sexual harassment.
