Fresh bomb threat scare hits multiple Delhi schools

A tense situation unfolded in the national capital on Monday morning as several schools in Delhi were placed on high alert.

Authorities swung into action after multiple institutions reported bomb threat emails. The alerts immediately triggered coordinated emergency responses across the city.

Police officials confirmed that nine schools received threatening emails within a short time span. The messages were delivered between 8:30 am and 9:00 am.

Among these, three schools were located in South Delhi. Consequently, school managements informed law enforcement without delay.

Soon after, teams from the Delhi Police reached the affected locations. Fire services and bomb disposal squads were also deployed.

As a precaution, authorities evacuated school premises to ensure student safety. Search operations began immediately after evacuations were completed.

According to the Delhi Police, extensive checks were carried out at all the schools. Officials stated that bomb threat calls had been received at nine schools in Delhi.

They further confirmed that police, fire teams, and bomb disposal units were present on site. In South Delhi alone, three schools reported threats during the same morning window.

The threatening emails reportedly named several well-known schools across different parts of the city.

These included Loreto Convent School in Delhi Cantt and Cambridge School in Srinivasanpuri. Venkateshwar School in Rohini and Cambridge School in NFC were also mentioned.

In addition, the list included The Indian School in Sadiq Nagar and CM School in Rohini. DTA School in INA and Bal Bharati School in Rohini were among the named institutions.

Air Force School on Lodhi Road, KR Mangalam School, and Indian School were also cited. As a result, security agencies had to cover a wide geographic area.

Officials highlighted that such incidents are not new for the capital. Similar bomb threat emails have targeted schools and airports in the past.

However, all earlier cases were later declared hoaxes. Despite this, each alert causes panic and disrupts normal functioning.

Repeated threats continue to raise concerns over the safety of educational institutions. They also place pressure on emergency services and law enforcement.

Authorities are now investigating the origin of the emails. Meanwhile, security agencies remain on alert to prevent any untoward incident.
