AP CM Releases “Nanna” Book
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu released “Nanna” book written by Kolakaluri Madhujyothi on Tuesday in Hyderabad. Kolakaluri Madhujyothi is the daughter of Professor Kolakaluri Enoch, who is a renowned Indian writer, social activist and multi-faceted personality. He also served as vice-chancellor to Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.
The book ‘Nanna’, which means “father” in Telugu, is written on the love and affection of a father and daughter. The book captures the invaluable relationship of a father and daughter. Kolakaluri Madhujyothi, the president of the Telugu Department in Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, says her father achieved this position in society despite having to go through many problems due to his caste and poverty. Her parents raised them in a way to meet the challenges of society and that’s why today all of them are in a good position. She expressed that this book is gratitude to her father.
Professor Kolakaluri Enoch was honoured by the government of India with Padma Sri, the fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to literature. He has written many novels, short stories and poetries.
He has achieved several awards and puraskarams for his notable works in Telugu literature such as Telugu Bharati Puraskaram, Andhra Pradesh Sahitya Akademi Award for 3 times, Mallemala Sahitya Puraskaram, Telugu Sakha Swarnotshava Puraskaram, Duvvuri Ramanamma Puraskaram, Viswavidyalaya Pratibha Puraskaram, Life achievement Award and Telugu Bhashotsava Puraskaram by Government of Andhra Pradesh.
