IndiaSkills 2026–27: Register by September 15
IndiaSkills 2026–27 is creating a major national platform for talented youth to demonstrate their practical abilities, compete against skilled peers, gain recognition, access advanced training opportunities, and potentially progress towards representing India at prestigious international skill competitions and global platforms.
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is organising the competition with support from the National Skill Development Corporation.
This year, participants can compete across 63 skill categories linked to current and emerging industries.
Registrations are open through the Skill India Digital Hub. The last date to register is September 15, 2026. Eligible candidates should complete the process before the deadline.
The competition covers several major sectors. These include advanced manufacturing, construction, engineering and digital technologies.
Hospitality, transportation and creative industries are also part of the programme. Emerging skills add further opportunities for young talent.
Candidates will compete through multiple stages. The process moves from the District level to State and Regional rounds. Successful participants will then advance to the National Competition.
Young skilled candidates from across India can apply. Participants must register as learners on the Skill India Digital Hub. New users also need to complete mobile-based OTP verification and e-KYC.
Some categories require two-member teams. These include Autonomous Mobile Robotics, Concrete Construction Work, Cyber Security, Industry 4.0, Landscape Gardening, Mechatronics and Robot Systems Integration.
The competition offers more than medals and recognition. Top performers can receive advanced training, mentoring and further assessments. Selected candidates may also get an opportunity to represent India at international skill competitions.
With the registration deadline nearing, September 15 is a crucial date for aspiring participants.
IndiaSkills 2026–27 offers talented youth a valuable opportunity to showcase their abilities, gain recognition, receive advanced training, and compete at higher levels.
Successful participants can potentially progress from district contests to national honours and international skill competitions.
