Dr Naperla Praveen: A life of service and inspiration
Dr Naperla Praveen, a multifaceted young doctor from Punganur in Chittoor district, epitomizes selfless service and perseverance.
With over 20 years dedicated to medicine and social service, Dr Praveen is also a celebrated author, poet, Telugu literature enthusiast, environmentalist, and social activist.
Inspired by his father, Dr Ananda Rao, a retired gynaecologist known for treating the underprivileged free of cost, Dr Praveen grew up imbibing values of empathy and dedication.
He says that his father’s commitment towards treating patients made him learn that medicine is not just about treating illnesses but it’s care and empathy for people.
This foundation was further solidified in 1994 when his parents established the Rural Health Educational Society, an NGO focused on healthcare and community education.
At just 13, Dr Praveen began volunteering, sparking a lifelong journey of service.
Dr Praveen’s efforts in healthcare are exemplary. Over the years, he has organized hundreds of free health camps.
In addition, he distributed health kits to the people in need. He also personally visited bedridden and financially challenged patients.
His commitment to improving access to healthcare has made him a beacon of hope for many.
Recognizing the link between health and the environment, Dr Praveen initiated environmental conservation projects in 2008.
Guided by his mother’s teachings that nature is humanity’s lifeline, he advocates for sustainable living.
Dr Praveen emphasizes that health isn’t just physical but also living in harmony with nature.
This doctor uses his passion for literature and poetry to promote awareness of health, environmental issues, and humanity.
His writings inspire and educate, reaching audiences beyond his medical practice. Dr Praveen’s dedication has motivated countless young people to contribute to society.
Dr Praveen is an inspiration to many people. He is a shining example of how compassion, determination, and a multifaceted approach can transform lives and inspire communities.
