Know the Auspicious time to tie Rakhi
Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi is a festival of bond of protection. It indicates the love and duty between a sister and brother.
Rakhi falls on August 7, this year i.e. day after tomorrow. This year partial lunar eclipse falls on the day.
It begins at 10:42 pm and end by 12: 38 am. And, Moon will transit in Capricorn zodiac sign and Shravan star.
According to several astrologers, this year, there is only a short duration of auspicious time for tying rakhi. Some astrologers say that it is better to finish the tying of rakhi before 11: 00 am.
While others suggest that the auspicious time for tying rakhi on the day is between 11:11 am to 1:00 pm. And almost all believe that the tying of rakhi should be finished by 1:00 pm on that day. Lunch should also be finished by 1:47 pm.
Offering water in a copper vessel to the Sun God in the morning time after bathing will give good fortune.
In the evening time rice, saffron, sandalwood, mustard and durva (bermuda grass) are to be kept in a yellow cloth and offered to Lord Krishna.
Before tying a rakhi, sisters should apply tilak on the forehead of their brothers.
Sisters are advised not to eat anything until they tie the rakhi on to the hand of their brothers for their well-being, health and fortunes.
Usually sisters gift handkerchief to their brothers as an auspicious sign after tying rakhi. After that, brothers will gifts to their sisters.
Some astrologers believe that in addition to the lunar eclipse, three other planets Saturn, Mars and Jupiter will also have their influence.
Due to the influence of Saturn and Mars, the prices of food grains and pulses like Urad dal, Masoor dal etc. can raise.
However, Jupiter has favorable effect for students and stock market investors.
