Heroic Dog saves family from landslide - Fusion - WeRIndia

Dogs are known as man’s best friend for a reason. They look up to people, have fun with them, stay with them in times of need, and can even save their lives.

One such case of a dog saving people’s lives recently occurred in the flooding village of Kanjikuzhy in the Idduki district of Kerala.

The floods have caused chaos all over the state. 37 people have died from the floods and 35,000 people have been forced to evacuate to relief camps.

In Kanjikuzhy, Mohanan P. and his family were sound asleep in their home. At 3:00 a.m., Mohanan was woken up by the barking sounds of his family’s dog, Rocky.

Mohanan tried to ignore his dog’s barking, but Rocky didn’t quiet down. He began to howl, and Mohanan recognized that he was distressed.

Mohanan realized that something must be wrong and rushed outside of his house.

When the family left the house to check on their dog, they immediately noticed a landslide coming toward them. They all rushed away just in time before the landslide destroyed their home.

Mohanan’s family, including Rocky, have all been moved to a nearby government camp. The family’s dog saved their lives from the landslide.

Dogs can often spot danger and react to it more quickly than humans. This allows dogs to give off signals of distress or warning.

Other examples of dogs saving people’s lives include an incident in Gujarat. In this event, a dog saved his master from being ripped up by three lions.

When the dog raised the alarm, a crowd came to the rescue and forced the lions to flee.

In Bhubaneshwar, a dog sacrificed his life to kill four poisonous snakes that were trying to sneak into a house.

The incident of Rocky saving the lives of his family is another example that proves the undying heroism and unwavering loyalty of dogs to their people.
