Setting an example to people, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told all ministries and departments to use online transactions or cheques for financial needs. He told the ministries to make sure that downstream payments, including those by contractors to laborers should become cashless as well.

This decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting which Modi chaired. They also seem to have discussed issues regarding making amendments to laws. The amendments are to make it possible to levy around 60 per cent income tax on unaccounted deposits in banks after the ban of old ₹500 and ₹1,000 notes.

Modi directed the government ministries to go cashless to stop any corruption and make it easy to do transactions. As soon as he directed so, food and agriculture ministries already held meetings to plan out how they can change to complete cashless transactions as soon as possible.

Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan says that PM Modi is very serious regarding making the ministries and departments cashless. All the officials were given the directive to do so.


Paswan further stated that organizations which are under his ministry like Corporation of India (FCI), Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation of India Limited (NCCF) are already about 99 percent cashless.

According to sources, all officials were asked to make a status report regarding their departments and ministries and send the report to PMO. After that, the Cabinet will once again meet soon to discuss the finalization.

In order to reduce usage of cash, many banks have already removed transaction charges after demonetization. The government seems to be setting an example for the rest of the citizens to go cashless. The demonetization could prove to be a good time for many organizations or vendors to go cashless. Being cashless makes everything more transparent.

    I D Bala chennaiah working as atteder in Ahobilam Devastanams Allagadda kurnool Dist my father was worked as handicapped employee atteder in edowment department A.P.due to my father in healts he did not done the job but the higher autsorities mase me as substiuru to the job as my received the salary every month for last 6 year for that i received a appointments from Sri Ahobilam math swamiji jeeyar so i done my duties on regular basis my father did not get any response regarding retiremente from commissioner in the pleace of my father i done 1 year 10 month extraduties even thoug my father has retaid from his duties with out any intimation in the month of ( April 26 – 2015.Not paid to salary 26 Days.) Orders given by E.O.till today he did not receive any retirement benetirs like pension facilites etc
