IRCTC to launch premier trains on desert - Fusion - WeRIndia

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) is going to launch two premier train services on desert areas. These trains will reveal the charisma of India’s extensive deserts to its passengers. As per the press release by IRCTC yesterday, these trains are semi-luxury trains and will leave from New Delhi.

These trains offer deluxe facilities for a round trip of five days including sightseeing. The two trains are named as Desert Circuit and Heritage Circuit. Desert Circuit train will take the passengers to famous cities of Rajasthan including Jaisalmer and Jaipur whereas Heritage Circuit travelers can visit Varanasi, Khajuraho and Agra.

Each train will run eight trips starting from mid-December this year to April next year. The services of Desert Circuit will commence from middle of December, 2015 and end up on April 21, 2016 while the services of Heritage Circuit will begin on December 20, 2015 and end up on April 24, 2016. Since, it is the tourist season, good occupancy rate is expected.

The package prices of Desert Circuit are: Rs.36,900 for first class AC single, Rs.33,900 for first class AC double and Rs.32,900 for first class AC triple occupancy, Rs.28,025, Rs.25025 and Rs.24,525 (second AC single, double and triple occupancy respectively). And for third AC the rates are Rs.24,125, Rs.21,125 and Rs.20,625 .

The package prices for Heritage Circuit are: Rs.35,900, Rs.32,900 and Rs.31,900 (first AC single, double and triple occupancy respectively). For second AC, the rates will be Rs.26,200, Rs.23,200 and Rs.22,700 and for third AC they are Rs.21,790, Rs.18,790 and Rs.18, 290.

These prices are all inclusive rates. These include intercity transfers, stay in three-star hotels, meals inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner, sightseeing, entrances at the monuments, local transfers via AC deluxe vehicles, service of English or Hindi speaking guide, travel insurance, 24×7 security and CCTV surveillance on board the train. Furthermore, medical facility, hygienic kitchen-car facility, transport in AC vehicles and Wi-Fi internet service are provided.
