BJP starts massive manifesto drive
In order to get suggestions for the Lok Sabha elections’ manifesto, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a massive manifesto drive on Sunday.
The aim of this drive is to reach at least 10 crore people within a month.
A portal bharatkemannkibaat.com and a toll-free number were launched by the party president Amit Shah and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in the launching of this event.
In addition to that, 300 dedicated trucks termed as ‘raths’ were also provided in more than 4,000 Assembly constituencies to keep 7,700 suggestions boxes.
The event started at Hotel Ashok in New Delhi, and Mohan Chandra Pandey was the first person to drop his suggestion in the drop box. He is working as a waiter at the hotel.
The slogan ‘Kaam Kare Jo, Ummeed Usi Se Ho’ (Expectations are only from the one who delivers) was also released by the party leaders at the event.
Union Minister Rajnath Singh stated that inclusive growth of the government works like a guiding light of the manifesto. He added that there was sufficient proof for the growth in the tenure of present government.
Providing reservations to the poor in general category proved their dedication and revealed that no section of the country was ignored.
Party president Amit Shah said that the suggestions would be reviewed by a 20-member team in all States. After that, they would be forwarded to the manifesto committee.
The manifesto committee has been divided into 12 sub-heads based on various subjects. Some of them are, inclusive growth, culture and infrastructure, skill development and education.
He added that the drive is intended to democratize the manifesto and the country’s democracy would be strengthened by this action.
After finishing the entire process, the manifesto would be released. It is expected to be released prior to the last date of withdrawal of nominations for the general election.
