3 Indian companies are in Forbes list

In a list compiled by Forbes magazine, it is found that three Indian companies: Hindustan Unilever, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Sun Pharma Industries made their way. The list of world’s 100 most innovative companies by Forbes saw the presence of Indian companies. The list was topped by Tesla Motors which is known for its innovative concepts.

In the list, the 41^st place has been occupied by fast moving consumer goods company Hindustan Unilever. TCS was at the rank of 64 and Sun Pharma was at the rank of 71. Forbes on Hindustan Unilver stated that the company had 30 different brands which span across 20 different categories.

TCS which has a market cap of USD 80.3 billion appeared in this list for the eighth time. Last month, it announced a training program in digital technologies for one third of its workforce. This pushed its digital services forward majorly.

Sun Pharma had a market cap of USD 39 billion. It is India’s largest drugs company and it appeared on the list for the fourth straight time. In order to be in this list, the firms need seven years of public financial data and USD 10 billion in market cap. Forbes also stated that only industries which are known to invest in innovation have been chosen.
