Belly fat is one of the toughest things to get rid of. It is one of the first places fat tends to accumulate and one of the last places it is burned off. Many people try a bunch of exercises to get rid of belly fat but they all end in vain. One of the main reasons why it is so hard to lose belly fat is because its causes are not removed. There are several causes for increase belly fat. If you cut down on these, you can get rid of belly fat faster. Here are the causes.

Sitting All Day

Many modern day jobs require this. When we sit for a long a time, the activity of the enzyme, lipoprotein lipase is reduced. This enzyme is what helps in burning fats. So avoid sitting of long periods.

Lack of Sleep


Sleeping is very important for fat burning. During the sleep, the body uses fats. Having improper sleep can cause reduced usage of fat. Try to get at least 7 hours of sleep.

Stress levels

Stress causes many dangers. It increases steroid hormone known as cortisol. Cortisol is one of the most common reasons for the visceral fat around the belly.

Drinking aerated soft drinks

Sugar and carbon dioxide is a very bad combo for your body. They can easily bloat the abdomen and the belly which causes more fat to get deposited around the belly.

Late dinners

Remember that even though sleeping can burn fat, it is bad for health to sleep with a full stomach. Eating dinner late will cause you to sleep with a full stomach. This hinders digestion and can increase fat accumulation.

Skipping Breakfast

Skipping breakfast is never a good idea to lose weight. If your body doesn’t get the necessary calories in the morning, you will end up eating larger amounts later. These calories would be stored and not burned properly.
